Me and Claude go way back

I usually try and keep up to date with art so when I was checking out the museums I love here I was so excited for the Monet exhibit at MOMA. It was a dreary day in NYC so spending my day at the museum seemed superb!

I really feel influenced by Monet, I absolutely adore the impressionism movement. I feel completely drawn to most works of arts created from this style and time period.

He loved that idea that art will always be around after we die and he also loved the slow process of his paintings because he felt there was so reason to rush things, in life and art.

Wandering more throughout MOMA, I saw one of the artists that my mom loves...Elizabeth Peyton.

I just wanted to post this and let everyone know to keep expanding your mind! Keep finding inspiration even in the "mundane" things in life we sometimes over look.

I've never really been down with H&M but....

I just stopped by the store in Union Square because I had some time to kill before my classes. I thought I would be in and out in a matter of seconds. Turns out I actually really liked some of their accessories.

I love how all these items that will help boost some looks I already wear was only $20!

update more tomorrow!

Fashion Week Baby

On Friday night I attended Erin Wasson X RVCA show in the Tents. It was by far one of the most surreal nights of my life. I saw Alexa Chung (love her!), Taylor Momsen, Fashion toast's--Rumi, Susie Bubble, Kristin from Bleach Black, and lots of editors.

The collection was amazing although the pictures me and my friend Jayme took turned out almost as bad as the ones from style.com. But here were a few of my favorite pieces...and of course a picture of Erin.

Saturday was Alexander Wang's day. He is one of the people I always think of when I think of new, fresh, and innovative. He is by far one of my heros. We got into the show on that rainy day and saw even more people we admire. Anna Wintour, Simon Doonan, models, socialites, editors, Rachel McAdams (who is absolutely stunning), and lastly Erin Wasson who was somewhat scared of us. But that okay we still love you Erin.

Here are some looks that I loved, but in all honestly I could have died after that show and not have had any regrets about my life. It had a baseball/football theme which I though was totally fun to see.

And lastly Lynn Yaeger from Vogue...

came up to us as we awaited to get into the Alexander Wang show and she asked...do you ladies have invitations...? we retourted by saying well no...but we're getting in with the upmost positivity. And she says GREAT! I'm doing a feature on girl who loves fashion but aren't invited to the shows and she interviewed us. So look for that on Vogue.com...I know we will be checking it up frantically.

Goal for next season.....
Get invited to the shows...or at least just get my name circulating.

P.S need to buy a nice camera and need to thrift for ways to incorporate things i've seen into my wardrobe.

Alison Mosshart of the Kills is anything but typical.
As the lead singer she has an amazing talent
that leaves you stunned let alone entertained.
I saw this amazing duo this past May in New York at Webster Hall.
Alison is nothing shy of a bad ass and the chemistry between her
and Jamie(now boyfriend of Kate Moss), makes for one intense show.
I knew I loved their sound from the moment I heard them,
but seeing Alison in person i realized she has a style that kills.

Here's a fun shoot I styled to show my take on Alison's look.

Oh life

Finally back in the city, no other place I'd want to be right now.

The energy is sick here. You can easily tan walking from point A to B. Drinks aren't just a luxury anymore its a necessity to carry it in your hands at all time. And being creative and open to new things are two of the most important things.

Me and my friends went to a lot of different places this weekend. Two I would highly recommend.

HELLO, I LOVE YOU

LET ME TELL YOU MY NAME

I'm Liz, the up-til-now "silent other half".
Jenny and I met this year at Parsons in New York.
We roomed together and soon found out we have a common interest in fashion, music and art.
As followers of other blogs we thought we'd like to share our point of view with online world.

This blog is mainly a fashion feature, but we would also like to include our take on music and art, as well as anything we deem inspirational and relevant.
I am currently studying fashion design and Jenny is in fashion marketing.
We hope with our knowledge and experience you can see each of our own opinions in the fashion world.

Of course being the start of the summer we now have more time to dedicate to this blog and we thought it was the perfect time to start.
Too bad now we're living about 400 miles away from each other.
I moved back upstate to my home town and Jenny stayed in the city, well kind of, she has big plans this summer which you will all get to see in her posts to come.

We hope you like our take on currents trends, top designer picks, and some of our own creations as well.

More to come, I promise.

Love, Liz
