My favorite girls

So pleased to see that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are now part of CFDA!

Best news I've heard lately. I absolutely think this is the right choice because it is the newer generation coming in now with new ideas of what's "cool." I feel like MK and A are two people that people really look up to especially kids of my age.

Congratulations girls!!

MIDTERMS

Why do midterms exist? Does the school system not trust us to do the work, or do they just want to waste our time? And aren't we the ones paying them anyway? Okay enough of my bitterness...

Wanted to just have fun during my mid break of studying so I just put on these glasses that my roommate says she uses to hide her zits. I happen to love the color! I'm so into anything that gets you out of the ordinary.

P.S I love you

I'm not talking about the movie.

Nary Manivong

This movie named Dressed is something I really look forward to seeing. And I am so freaking excited because at Parsons we are going to have a panel discussion with Insider commentary and tips on "what it takes to make it" by experts such as Simon Collins, Dean of Fashion for Parsons, The New School for Design, Fern Mallis, Simon Doonan, Nanette Lepore, Mickey Boardman, Lynn Yaeger, George Furlan, Mary Gehlhar and Robert Verdi.

The story behind this seems insane!

I can't wait but here is an excerpt.

Enjoy you guys!
Bon Weekend

Kind of in love with hats

Alright, I think it is safe to say I am mildly obsessed with hats right now. When I was living in Hawaii, Austin, or Miami, I could never ever wear hats. Now living in New York City I feel completely free to wear anything I want. I love love love knitted hats. I found this hat while rummaging at Urban in Soho the other day.

Oh ya and FYI my counterpart in this blog, as you can see has not been posting, that is because she is so busy with going to school full time at Parsons for Fashion Design and her internship with Opening Ceremony right now! I'm so excited for her! But she will be back every so often to stop by and update you guys.

J'adore Arth

I usually spend my free days walking around Soho. For me that is what calms be down from my midterms and all the trials and tribulations that life may bring me. I was coming back from lunch when I stumbled upon the cutest shop. The store is called Arth and it is based in Japan. That in itself excites me. My whole dream has been to be Japanese or maybe just to go there. I was highly influenced by Japanese style growing up in Hawaii. A lot of Japanese influences exists in Hawaii, their style is undeniably cool and effortless. I would say that my style is off duty model simplicity paired with a twist of Japanese spunk. But this store is absolutely an adorable hat store.

Their website isin't really established with their product line but here are some graphics of Arth and the hat I bought. It also has a cute little twist to it which you will see

I love Regina

I think a few years back I heard about Regina Spektor. Her voice is so chilling and delicate it speaks to my soul. I was actually in Yoga today and they were playing Samson by Regina and I just started to cry. So hears a little taste of her. Hope you enjoy
